Dental Monitoring is literally an app on your smartphone. It’s connected with software we have here in the clinic at Torque Orthodontics. The purpose of Dental Monitoring is to make it easier to fit orthodontic treatment into your already busy lifestyle and it does just that.

All you need to do is take a weekly selfie of your teeth with the app and send it through to us at the clinic, where we’ll compare it against your treatment plan to ensure your teeth are moving as they should. This means you could be at work, at home, on holiday, at the beach house… basically anywhere in the world and still be able to have a ‘check-up’ to make sure your treatment is progressing well.

How to set up
Dental Monitoring

If you are ready to use Dental Monitoring as part of your treatment, we can set it up in three easy steps.

Step 1: Download the app to your smartphone. It’s compatible with all models.
Step 2: Take a selfie of your teeth as instructed. The app will show you how and our treatment coordinator can help you with the first one!
Step 3: Send it through to us via the app and we’ll check your teeth are sitting as they should be.

One of the things we most like about Dental Monitoring is the extra communication we can have with our patients. Without Dental Monitoring, you needed to come in to the clinic once every eight to 12 weeks for a check-up. In between that time we wouldn’t be able to check your teeth, unless you experienced an orthodontic emergency and had to book an extra appointment.

With Dental Monitoring we are tracking the progress of your treatment weekly, which means we can be more proactive with your treatment. If you have a question about how your teeth are moving you can send it to us via the app. Dental Monitoring has really opened the lines of communication between clinic and patient and we love it!
